Medi-Cal Provides Doula Services
Covered doula services are available to all eligible Medi-Cal & Insurance enrollees without cost sharing, co-payments, or any additional out-of-pocket costs
Who can access doula care?
Medi-Cal and Insurance enrollees who are pregnant or were pregnant within the past year qualify for access to full spectrum doula care. Services can be provided during pregnancy, labor and delivery, miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and within one year of the end of the pregnancy.
What Medi-Cal & Insurance benefits entitle you to

8 visits provided in combination of prenatal and postpartum visits

Birth Support when you go into labor
vaginal or cesarean births, miscarriage, termination, and stillbirth support

2 extended postpartum visits after the end of a delivery
